In the past, catamarans have been designed principally for the charter market – practical but not luxurious. With the Discovery 50, you have a sumptuous home afloat. There is amazing space and light. All cabins have their own en-suite bathroom with separate shower. The owner’s stateroom, with its super-king size bed, spans the full width of the boat. It has an armchair, a vanity desk and ‘His’ and ‘Her’ bathrooms. You can choose your cabin configurations and semi-customize the interior throughout.

The saloon is luxurious. Its size is enhanced by the mezzanine access to the cabins, and it is bathed in light from the stylish side windows and overhead hatches. Deep, restful armchairs and a large dining sofa provide plenty of areas to relax.

The navigation station faces forward with great visibility all round. Here you can sit in real comfort and control the boat while maintaining a good watch. Out of the elements, watch keeping is so much less tiring.

The superb and spacious galley is located so the chef is still in touch with the rest of the crew. It is light, airy and practical. This fully-fitted galley has extensive work surfaces, plenty of stowage, a large fridge and a separate freezer. It is designed to be practical and easy to use, whether you are out at sea or in harbour.

One of the best features of a catamaran is its protected cockpit with plenty of room for socialising and al-fresco dining. The cockpit of the Discovery 50 Cat excels. It has lots of corners to snuggle into, all the seating is properly angled for real comfort and there is a generous dining area. Two magnificent sun beds flank the main cockpit, where you can lie or sit sheltered from the wind – watching the wake disappear behind you. An important aspect is having the raised helm position as an integral part of the cockpit so that the helmsman is in touch with the rest of the crew. Overhead, there is an option choice of soft or hard Bimini. The transom decks provide another recreation area for lounging and barbecuing, with steps to the water for swimming and diving.

The foredeck is all about your pleasure; relaxing and sunbathing around the trampolines, enjoying the vista, watching dolphins from the bow seats….or soaking in the ultimate luxury of the splash pool/hot-tub – great for cooling down on tropical passages or just lying back in the hot water under the stars!
