Better still, we have partnered with the World Cruising Club (WCC), the world’s leading rally specialists, to bring you a broad range of rallies and events to choose from.

The WCC have over 30 years of experience in delivering the ultimate sailing adventures – some big on fun, others more intimate – the most famous of which is the ARC Rally that crosses the Atlantic westwards every November.

ARC Europe

6th May 2017

ARC Europe is the west-to-east Atlantic rally, sailing from the Caribbean or North America to Europe.  Starting from Nanny Cay Marina on Tortola British Virgin Islands or Ocean Marine Yacht Centre in Portsmouth Virginia, the two fleets rendezvous in St George’s, Bermuda before crossing the Atlantic to the Azores.

After cruising the Azorean archipelago, boats sail to Marina de Lagos in southern Portugal, or sail independently to northern Europe.

In every port there are organised social activities, plus tours ashore in the Azores.

6th May 2017

ARC USA is a great way to end the Caribbean sailing season and make a real cruise of the passage back to the East Coast. Sail in company from Nanny Cay, Tortola BVI to St George’s Bermuda, then on to Portsmouth, Virginia or other East Coast ports, or from Nanny Cay to Fort Lauderdale via the Old Bahama Channel.

ARC DelMarVa, Annapolis USA

A week long cruise sailing 450 miles around the DelMarVa peninsula on the East Coast of the USA.


ARC DelMarVa is the perfect opportunity to expand your horizons and gain experience sailing overnight and in the ocean, in the company of friends and with an experienced support staff not far away.


The event is unique in the WCC portfolio, as it’s locally focused and organized from WCC USA’s home base in Annapolis by experienced Chesapeake Bay sailors, with the support of the local marine industry.

ARC Baltic 2017

10th July 2017

Over six weeks the Arc Baltic rally will sail close to 1500 nautical miles, with an itinerary that allows flexibility for the prevailing weather encountered.


Starting from the Baltic port of Rostock, the ARC Baltic itinerary includes the Estonian capital Tallinn, the former Russian Imperial capital St. Petersburg, the Finnish capital Helsinki, the Finnish provincial capital Mariehamn, and the Swedish capital Stockholm. En route, the rally sails through some of the most beautiful and interesting sights in the Baltic including cruises in the Finnish and Swedish archipelagos.

ARC 2017

The ARC is a ‘must do’ for many sailors, and attracts over 200 boats and 1200 people every year to sail 2700 NM across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia.

The ARC is for everyone; families with children, tough racers, cruising couples, big boats and modest boats. Crossing the Atlantic together, but having their own adventures. More than just a boat race, the ARC is about friendships made ashore in the two weeks of pre-departure activities continued over the radio net at sea. It’s about arriving in Saint Lucia to be met on the dock with a rum punch and a chilled beer, knowing you have achieved something fantastic – crossing an ocean on a sailboat.

The ARC Channel Islands Seminar will cover areas important for completing a channel crossing as well as information for cruising around the Channel Islands and guidance on how to prepare your boat and crew for the rally and some reminders of best practice for safe sailing. Bluewater Weekend, Lymington UK

The Bluewater Weekend is a unique weekend rendezvous at Berthon in Lymington, for sailors who are aiming to go offshore cruising and want to know what to look for when choosing a bluewater cruising boat. For those in the boat search phase of their count-down, the Bluewater Weekend will provide all the knowledge required to help make the right choice of boat, plan a refit and manage the costs of cruising. It also gives participants the opportunity to mingle with experienced bluewater cruisers to share knowledge and gain inspiration, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.

ARC Catamaran Cruising Forum 2017, Chichester

10th June 2017

World Cruising Club will be running a catamaran cruising panel discussion on Saturday 10 June from 15:00 to 17:00 as part of the Portsmouth Harbour Multihull Show. The panelists are all catamaran owners who have sailed across oceans or around the World and they will provide insightful answers on topics like choosing the right multi-hull for cruising, pros and cons of ocean catamaran sailing, heavy weather tactics and the best bluewater bolt holes. The Show and the forum are free to attend.
